Valérie Hallier - bio

Miss Hallier's work has been shown internationally. Main solo shows were at Medianoche gallery (NYC) and at the ESAM, Caen, France. Group shows locations include in the US the BRIC Arts Media (Brooklyn), the Housatonic Museum, CT, the Brooklyn Council for the Arts, the Dumbo Arts Center, the CAS Arts Center (NY), ACM Siggraph (FL) and SCAN Arts Symposium (PA). In Europe her work was exhibited at the “Grands Voisins” in Paris, France, Nadania Idriss Gallery in Berlin, Germany and the ACM Multimedia Arts Program in the UK.

Hallier worked on a commission for the Drawing Center and the LMCC through the DRAW NOW program (NYC). After a LMCC Swing residency on Governor Island, she was a guest of The NY Theremin Society at Pioneer Works Art Center in Brooklyn, NY. She was selected to be part of BRIC Media Arts first edition Biennial in Downtown Brooklyn where she created the installation: The Exhaustion of Saudia Young.

Recently, Valérie was chosen as an alternate for Harvestworks New Works Residency and has been solicited to become a member of A.I.R. New York Artist Program after showing there for the group show CURRENTS, curated by Barbara Zucker.

Hallier just “graduated” as a teaching artist with the Community Word Project in Manhattan.

Originally from France, Hallier lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
